Tahini’d Broccoli


Serves: 1 or more

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes


  • broccoli
  • Leafy greens kale, silver beet etc
  • garlic

Cook with

  • tahini
  • salt
  • pepper
  • oil/butter
  • vinegar


  • Add some oil (or butter) to a fry pan
  • When you can smell the oil cooking add garlic, salt and pepper
  • Once some bits are brown add broccoli
  • After a minute add your leafy greens
  • Add splash of water directly followed by a lid to make them sweat
  • Cook until the greens are soft/broccoli goes bright green
  • Add a splash of vinegar to taste – crucial for flavour balance
  • Turn off pan straight away
  • Stir through tahini

Serve with:

  • rice
  • tortilla ingredient
  • side
  • bruschetta


  • Use onion with or instead of garlic
  • sprinkle sesame seeds or sunflower seeds for a little crunch
